NOTE: SOLD AS PAIRS. QTY 1 = 1 PAIR OF BRACKETS

These 13" front brake adapters allow you to fit your Fiero (84-87 model years, NOT 88) with 13" Corvette front brakes (calipers and rotors) from the fifth generation Corvette (1996 -2004) or the sixth generation Corvette (2005-2013 base model, NOT Z51/Z06/ZR1).

These brackets are CNC machined from a single piece of steel and not welded as many other comparable brackets are made to ensure the highest strength. They are also powdercoated for corrosion resistance. The position of the caliper will allow for maximum steering travel full lock to full lock.

You will need the following hardware to mount your new brakes and brackets to your front Fiero spindles (not included). When sourcing your C5/C6 calipers, keep in mind you will need the abutment brackets to mount your new calipers with this hardware:

  • (4x) M14 x 40mm Hex Bolts (Grade 10.9 or better)
  • (4x) M12 (1.75 thread pitch) x 30mm Hex Bolts (Grade 10.9 or better)
In addition to the front brackets it is recommended to upgrade your rear brakes to maintain a good brake balance. The C4 Corvette 12" rear brakes are a good candidate for this application. They can be found on "standard duty" rear brake set ups from 1988 model year Corvettes. You can add these rear brackets as options in the order form.

As with all Fiero brake conversions, you have to keep in mind the following details:
  • The C4/C5/C6 rotors will require the Fiero 5x100 bolt pattern drilled. You should also use concentric rings to align the rotors on your Fiero center hub bore as the Corvette bore is larger.
  • The Fiero front hub is a hub/rotor single piece combination. You will need to machine off the Fiero rotor surface so that you are left with just the hub.
  • Ensure that these larger diameter brakes fit inside of your wheels. 17" wheels are typically required as a minimum for the 13" front brakes. Not all wheels are created equal on the inner dimensions so it is possible that a 17" wheel may still interfere depending on the spoke design. You can find a brake template here to print and check inside of your wheel: Template
  • You will also benefit from a larger brake master cylinder from the 1977 - 1982 Corvette. Your brakes are a system that works together.
